jumping into summer with George @ asda

Sunday 21st June was not only Fathers Day but also officially the first day of summer! I am so excited for the warmer weather to arrive so that I can strip off the layers of jumpers I've been wrapped in since December! Hopefully my sister and I will be going on a late summer holiday in October and so when George got in touch and asked if I'd like to pick out a suitcase from their new range and a few summer items, I jumped at the chance.

I picked out this adorably nautical navy and white striped suitcase with a red zip trim because the suitcase I currently own is quite large so I thought I'd go for something smaller, so that A) I don't over pack and B) It's easier to transport on the plane as I am a weakling! It still holds 43L though, so plenty of room for all the sandals I've bought this year! George have a huge range of luggage from floral to animal print to stripes! Check out the range here.

How could I not pick up a pair of these minion pjs! I love pjs with leggings, and these fit like a glove! They're surprisingly lightweight which means they're perfect for summer as you won't overheat in bed!

I actually don't have a proper beach towel as my last one was stolen in Spain so when I saw this flamingo one I knew it was for me! It is super soft, colourful and only £5! Check out all the patterns here.

Whilst I am not completely happy with my body (who is) when abroad, I tend not to care too much as I don't know anyone anyway so I picked up this beautiful gingham pink ruffle bikini. You purchase the top and bottom separately meaning you can get the perfect sizing! The bra has under wire for the perfect support. George have some really gorgeous swimwear that isn't available in all stores so be sure to check out the collection here, you won't be disappointed!

I have a ton of floral, busy bedding but really wanted something more colourful and summery for my bedroom this season. I love the geometric pattern on the front and on the reverse is a mint colour with white polka dots! I've since turned the pillows round so that I get to see both patterns (anyone else get sad that you can't see both sides of your duvet at once..?)

This haul would not be complete without a pair of shoes, sandals to be exact! That's three pairs of birkenstock style sandals that I've gotten in the space of 2 months. They are super comfy and go with all colours which is perfect for my summer wardrobe, and best of all the bottom actually have grip! So no sliding around the pool for me!
