nail box review

You may not know this, but I am a nail polish fanatic. I have over 100 bottles of nail varnish (though recently threw out about 30 old gloopy ones, hey it makes room for more right!) When I first started my YouTube channel and blog it was originally going to be a nail art channel and I would do new designs on my nails every 2 days, but eventually college and work caught up with me and I didn't have time to do intricate designs any more. I still love nail varnish but opt for a more plain look these days. I am a sucker for new and pretty polishes so when I was contacted about NAILBOX.co.uk I couldn't say no. Nail box is a brand new box and like most beauty boxes, entails a subscription service that then sends you a nice parcel every month with 4 high end polishes! Prices start at £13.50 which is cheaper then 4 high end polishes, so your getting a good bargain!

The first polish in the box is Revlon Colorstay Longwear Nail Enamel in the shade 100 Buttercup. It's a creamy pastel yellow that doesn't need more than 2 coats (a pet peeve of mine!) It looks good on my pale skin but can imagine it would look great on tanned or darker skin tones too! It's a gorgeous spring shade.

Would you believe I have never owned a Essie Nail Polish?! I usually buy my nail varnish from xtras as they have a lot of high end brands for cheap! I was so pleased to see this gorgeous Essie shade called Muchi Muchi. It's a pretty pastel pink. I swatched this on a couple of nails and was saddened to see it was quite translucent and a very wet consistency that kind of ran back off my nail. I think I am going to wait for this polish to thicken up a bit and try it again.

I love OPI so was really excited to see KISS ME ON MY TULIPS in my nail box, It's a hot magenta shade that suits my complexion a lot and I can see myself wearing this all year round. I love the brush and the consistency of OPI polishes so this was a huge thumbs up from me.

Again, I have never used China Glaze before so I may have had a little squeal when I saw this in the nail box. It's a lovely pastel orange called Peachy Keen which I think will look lovely on my toes in the summer!

Overall I am extrememly happy and excited by NailBox and I know alot of you will be too! To check out the website youself, click here.

  3. As soon as I heard about this new subscription box I just had to register! I'm a massive nail polish addict (she says whilst carefully typing to avoid smudging newly painted nails) - I can't wait for my box to arrive, I love all the shades in this first box xx
