I really wanted to start a consistent series on this blog, I know a lot of people like to do a roundup at the end of the week, and I thought that would be right up my street. I'm calling it Sunday Sitdown because that's what I like to do on a Sunday, sit down, chill out with a cup of tea, a bit of TV or catch up with YouTube and Blogs. It will be a mix of beauty and lifestyle aspects of the week that I want to share with you, and will probably be 4 to 5 items. Hope you enjoy this new series on my blog and do let me know what you do with your Sundays!
#1 I recently bought a second Rimmel Apocalips in the shade Stellar which is a bright red with a hit of orange/pink to it that makes your teeth look super white. I already have the shade Apocaliptic which is deep fuchsia pink shade that I adore. I love the doe foot as it has a little dip in it to hold product and it is nice and flexable to apply to the lips. They last amazingly, are super pigmented (a little goes a LONG way) and just a pleasure to wear, I would love to collect more!
#2 Today was Pukas FIRST walk outside after his second injection last week. I was a bit nervous to take him out but my mum and I put his little harness on (he looks so cute in it!) and clipped on his never used before lead. We're lucky to live right across from the local park so we decided to take a stroll around it. At first he was hesitant to even leave the back garden, backing away when we opened the gate, but after we got down the drive, he was very excited by all the new smells and people. He hasn't been able to meet any dogs before today due to not having finished his injection course so we were interested to see how he would react. The first dog he came upon he looked at it and then just carried on walking. It was a different story once we had lapped half the park. With his new found confidence he was straining to greet every person or dog walking past and have a good old sniff of every bench, tree and lamppost. Over all it was a pretty successful first walk!
#3 It's no secret that I love my food! Especially chicken, I could have chicken every night of the week. One of my favourite meals is a chicken breast with mozzarella inside wrapped in parma ham (or bacon) served on rice and veg. So yummy! It's actually pretty healthy depending on the amount of cheese and ham you use. Another fave of mine this week has been pancakes. I go through stages of being obsessed with making pancakes, with nutella on. Not so healthy.. but very delicious and quick to make since it's only three ingredients!
#4 I splashed out on myself this week and bought myself a new pair of glasses (should arrive tomorrow) they are amazing, but more about that when arrive. I also bought myself something I have been lusting over for about 4 months, a bedspread. It's no ordinary bedspread, it has a adorable vintage tea party theme on one side, and floral on the other (see picture above) It was originally £90 but was on sale for £45 and after getting some extra £££ for my birthday I decided to go for it. I'll link it here so you can see the proper design side. As it gets warmer this year I will probably use this instead of my duvet as it can get quite hot at night and I can't stand sleeping with just a sheet on top of me. They do other gorgeous patterns too!
#5 I have mentioned this before, but I usually fall asleep with music on or listening to a podcast. One podcast in particular that I am in love with (though is probably a bit odd to fall asleep to!) is We're Alive. It is a story (think radio 4 style. Very real sound effects, great actors etc) about a world where zombies -or infected people who like to chomp on limbs- have taken over. You follow a group of people while they fight, survive and generally live in this new world and it's enthralling. It's free to download on your phone if you search we're alive in the podcast app on your iPhone or Android. I dare you to give episode one a try, even if you aren't into zombies, you might just be surprised. It's like listening to a film.
