Moisturiser is my skins best friend! Every morning my skin cries out for moisture (I need to drink more water in 2014.. does tea count?!) and feels dull and dry, but after a little pick me up from one of my faveourite moisturisers and my skin is ready to face the day. I'm focusing purely on products I use in the daytime here rather then my night creams etc,. I have about six that I use on rotation (my skin gets used to things quickly, so I have to keep it on it's toes.) They range from the super affordable to the more expensive so there's something here for everyone!
This is an amazing moisturiser that I picked up on a whim in Home Bargains (£1.99) and loved so much that when I ran out, I started a mission to find more. Long story short, after a long search I found this in Superdrug and it scanned through at 80p.. mistake or not, I bought 5! I'm still on the first! It has a gorgeous honey scent and is just wet enough to slide onto your skin. I have it in normal / combination and it really helps my skin stay hydrated throughout the day. -Superdrug, £7.99.
I've had this for about a month and a half and sadly I am half way through it already, it comes with a great pump that lifts the product up as you use it so that you don't miss a drop. This is one of the more expensive moisturisers I own but it is worth the money. It hydrates like no ones business and keeps my face feeling plump (in a good way) It has a pleasant 'non smell' so it doesn't overpower you or get annoying throughout the day. It's as the name suggests a slight gel / cream texture that spreads really far so you don't need too much! Love it! -FeelUnique, £48.
Wow, a long name! This is a sort of after moisturiser, before foundation type product. One of my favourite qualities about this is that it smells of Christmas Trees! Yummy. It has the smallest glimmer particles to give you a great glow under your foundation. I've noticed my make up wear time is longer with this underneath and it's a really nice overall product for smoothing the skin and works as a sort of primer. - Boots, £9.00.
This is another pre-treatment type product that you use under moisturisers to make them work a hell of a lot better! I more use this at night if I'm honest so that my night creams penetrate the skin further and work better. It really does work and isn't just one of those blogging over hyped products. Once you try it, you'll love it! -Boots, £24.99.
"Amie’s award-winning gentle and effective formulas are your skin’s best friend: bursting with high-quality naturally derived plant extracts that work in complete harmony with your skin to keep it clear, soft and radiant." This is a weird one that I have a love / hate relationship with. It's a lovely day moisturiser that has a weird sticky finish which makes for a great primer, the only thing is that it's really white and gives my face an ever paler cast which can mix weird with other products. Use too much and you look like a ghost! Use the right amount and it works really nicely! -Amie, £5.95.
"Your shine-control ally: this lightweight fluid has an instant matifying effect and a long-lasting sebum-reducing action. It reactivates the skin’s hydration mechanisms and restores its water reserves. The skin is re-balance for a velvety, matte complexion. The ideal shine-control and moisturizing treatment for combination skins, all year round." I love all thing Caudalie, it's probably one of my favourite skincare brands. They're products always deliver, and compared to some high end brands, they're actually kind of affordable for how well they work! This is a thin fluid that you massage into your face and it keeps you hydrated and stops you getting shiny and oily throughout the day, what more can I say, it's a brilliant product!-Caudalie, £28.00.
