ma new hurr

My last haircut was March 20th (click here to see that.) Two haircuts in a year for me is a bit of a triumph! It grow's pretty quickly and it had gotten so long, thick and damaged on the ends from my endless pink dye (soon to return.. sorry hair) I love having long hair don't get me wrong but I was sick of the flat look that my heavy hair was creating and my split ends had split ends! So I decided I wanted it noticeably shorter (basically cut above all the blonde) and a layer, and a slight fringe:

As you can see, it was a bit lacking in life and basically looked a bit of a mess! (keep in mind that right photo was taken in a mirror which is why my 'fringe' is backwards, also ignore my large alien head)
It is so much shoter, I walked into the living room to look in the mirror and thought HOLY **** ITS SO SHORT, but it feels insanely soft and light! And what is it that hairdressers do that make your hair so shiny, I washed it myself before hand but it still came out way better then when I dry it myself! I really love it and can't wait to see what it looks like curled :)
Just a few up close 'detail' shot. I have a sort of fringe! I wanted it to still be long enough to tuck behind my hear but short enough to frame my face, I haven't had a proper side fringe since I was 16, so I wasn't too sure if I wanted to go back there. I tried holding my hair up in a pony and it looks so tiny but I love the shape the layers have given it.

I used a photo to show my hairdresser what I wanted, I actually was just watching YouTube and clicked on Bubz newest haul and within seconds thought, that's what I want, so took a screenshot haha.
I know it's not exactly the same as I didn't ask for a proper full on fringe, but I am so happy with my hair and couldn't ask for anything better :)

When was your last haircut? What do you think of my new do?

  1. Your hair looks lovely, so healthy! My last haircut was very drastic, I had a lot chopped off so that I could donate it to charity! x
