I'd never heard of HealGel before but when I was contacted and asked if I was interested in their Eye serum I jumped at the chance because I've actually been looking for an eye product after using and loving my Murad Eye Cream. "HealGel Eye is a peerless anti-ageing formula that can help to diminish the appearance of dark circles, puffiness and fine lines. Refreshing and lightweight it provides a perfect base for make-up or a pick-me-up for tired eyes so that you can look well-rested even if you’re not."
I really like the clinical, feel to the product and packaging, as it makes it feel really 'medical' and expensive.
As suggested it is a gel like texture and sinks into the area around the eye really quickly. It has a lovely fresh scent too that doesn't irritate my - easily irritated - eyes. It says to use twice a day, so I have been applying it during my morning and evening skincare routines. I haven't been sleeping that well recently and have been having headaches so my eyes have been looking a bit dark and dull, but this has helped to make sure I don't look like a zombie and inject a bit of life into my area around my eyes.
It claims to work as almost a primer for the eye as well, but I haven't noticed any difference to my eye makeup while using this. I have noticed however that my under eye concealer hasn't creased as much as it usually does, which it does a lot to me, guess I have wrinkly eyes!
I love that it comes with a pump! That is one of my favourite things about skin care as then theres no chance of me being heavy handed and getting too much. It is only 15ml which I think is deceiving looking at the size of the bottle, but you need less then a pea sized amount for each eye, so I think it will last a really long time. I'm not ready to claim this as a holy grail product, but it is really nice, and if you're looking for a higher end, cooling eye gel to beat those dark circles I would recommend this. HealGel Eye is £32 for 15ml, which is a bit on the pricey side! They also sell HealGel Face which is "an exceptional anti-ageing formula designed to smooth, firm and replenish to give instantly plumper, revitalised looking skin." and also HealGel Intensive which "is an aqueous gel, bringing together the best active ingredients to soothe, repair and protect your skin."
