monday shopping

Today I went shopping with Josh and his mum and picked up a few things that have been on my list for a while. Here's what I got:
I had a really pleasant shock when I went into Boots today, They had two for £15 on all La Roche-Posay products, I'd only been planning on buying the Effaclar Duo, but since that on it's own is £13 I couldn't not pick up another item and only pay £2 for it! I wasn't sure what else to pick up and I didn't really know anything about any of the other products but eventually decided on the Effaclar Mat because it said that the results were reduced sebum production which I thought would work perfectly in hand with the Effalar Duo, and also they were both of the Effaclar family, so overall I saved £11.50!!! I'm so thankful I didn't but the Effaclar Duo last time I was in town.
After my love purchase with my skull flats from Primark I decided to pick up another pair as I'm really trying to get into wearing skirts and dresses this year and don't have many shoes that go with tights. I saw these leather look ones with studs on and saw they were on sale from £10 to £6 so couldn't resist., Unfortunately and very oddly they are too small?! So I will have to take them back and exchange them for a 7 which will be a first. I do adore them though and can't wait to wear them!
We went into our local 'good' charity shop and I saw velvet out of the corner of my eye and when I looked saw this beautiful wine red velvet petite top. Now I'm not petite but thought it would look really good with my disco pants and new primark shoes. Really kindly Josh's mum bought it for me when she saw me pick it up. THANKYOU :D It was only £2.85 which is awesome. Very soft!
And lastly, I picked up these valentines knickers in Asda, £2.50 cheap and cheerful and ever so cute. The hearts are black velvet and a great pick me up ;)
I had a great day shopping with Josh and his mum and we even went to Costa where josh treated me to a hot chocolate - yum. What do you think of my purchases? Do you have any La Roche Posay items?

  4. I've been using the Effaclar Duo for about a year now and it really is amazing at reducing spots! It's a good anti-bacterial cream, so it not only dries out existing pimples but it also prevents new ones. It does dry out the skin, mine became a little flaky, however that only happened in the first week or so using it, after that things went back to normal. My skin is clear now but I still repurchased the cream and just use it locally if/when a new spot emerges :D
I don't really know anything about the Effaclar Mat, but hopefully it's just as good.

Another product that saved my face was the Bioderma Sebium Serum Concentre Renovateur Purifiant (I know, long name). It's meant to reduce acne scarring. After my acne cleared I was left with really bad scars and hyper pigmentation. This Bioderma Serum basically acts like you're having a chemical peeling :)) It was amazing (at least in my case), because now I can actually leave the house without caking a billion layers of foundation and my skin is breathing.

Anyway, hope this helped! I love that velvet top, so chic!
